a city hippy wedding | portraits & details
This is a particularly exciting post for me, since well, this is what I do. I actually had a blast putting together my wedding details. I thrifted for over a year for my signage and centerpieces, all different. I had my florist put her choice of blooms and gold-painted succulents in the vessels and draped beads. My grandmother handmade eleven floral table runners for our guests’ tables and one 40ft long gold velvet table runner for our head table. She added crystals I had found from a vintage chandelier to the end of each runner. I thrifted over 40 vintage medicine bottles for our head table place cards and used my vintage label maker to print names and details on most of the paper goods. I added black and white striped, rolled menus to the place settings very last minute (the week of – thank you to my Maid of Honor, Jenna and my mother for tying those!) to add a contrasting pattern to all of the floral (I think Morgan appreciated that). I loved our hand-painted floral cake, it perfectly complimented our custom illustrated cake topper featuring my fur babies, Frankie and Eleanor, by The Pixelette. There’s not much I can say about our bride and groom portraits. Our alone time during the portrait session, after we had just tied the knot, was some of my favorite of the whole day, and Dylan & Sara captured it perfectly.
