banks does europe | november 2015
Some folks called me crazy for traveling overseas at 22 weeks pregnant with baby Banks. Aside from some seriously swollen ankles, I’m so glad I did it. Look at that face running towards us — sfakdfjkshfdsjkfhuksn. One of the best things ever. My cute Dad pulled off the surprise of a lifetime for my Mom’s 50th birthday this year. My brother and I flew to London and surprised her at the airport — all coordinated by my one and only papa.
In London, we ate, drank tea, went to the theater, toured a little (I had never been!), and explored the “Winter Wonderland” Christmas market.
Our next stop was Munich, where my parents are currently living, and the actual home of Christmas. I couldn’t get enough of the Christmas markets…and the pastries.
Prague immediately stole my heart. There is so much charm in this small city, I can’t wait to bring my own family back some day (hopefully in the summer!).
On our way back from Prague, we were able to stop in Nuremberg for a few hours for, yes — another market! And another charm filled walk/meal.
Though Morg was VERY missed, I’m so incredibly grateful to have had this time with my family, before starting a family of my own. And especially to be there to celebrate with my Mom on her special day! I’ll never forget it!
